I've had five different balaclavas over the years. The two I ordered from Revain were too tight for the price and a Carhartt was too short around the neck. It was only designed to go through the chin and not through the mouth or nose. I had the same expensive balaclava from Under Armor and it is exactly the same and the design is fantastic! The only difference is that there are no logos or designs on it which I like and the fabric is a bit thinner on this one. If you are active like hiking and exercising outside in the winter you don't need anything thicker than this or Under Armor because you don't want your face to sweat and your face to get warm and feel hotter than any other part of your body. . Trust me they are warm enough when you sit still. Well, if you're sitting still in the cold, like ice fishing, or sitting on a tree stand, you need something thicker. If you're cycling in the cold, you need one of these! Wind in your face on a bike in the cold is like acid. "Windproof" bikes are not required. This keeps 90% of the wind away from your skin. I would definitely recommend this balavaka to a friend! I love it!
