I wanted something that would keep small insects and small debris out of my DE filter (pre filter). My skimmer basket holes (standard size) are perhaps 1/4” and catch leaves and June bugs. My pre filter holes are 1/8” and act as a secondary protection to keep trash out of the pump impeller. . This product is so fine that it catches dirt and pollen and blocks too quickly to with pollen and dust. When it blocks (after only one day) it no longer acts as a skimmer (no/weak flow) and debris builds up on the top of my pool. These need to be about the size (holes) of cheesecloth.If you have no DE filter on your pool, these would make an interesting substitute but you’re going to have to change them out about twice a day. I’m going to put this down as an expensive "FAIL” and look for some thing not quite so fine.
