Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality is ok on the whole, it has some small flaws.

Purchased at the beginning of 2022 for 215,000 dollars in order to facilitate remote work in the event of a pandemic. At first, it appeared to be an ultimatum; however, after the launch of the first Apple Silicon M1, it became abundantly evident that this tablet was not worth the money. This was due to the fact that in many respects, it was superior to the Macbook Air, which was two times less expensive. After a year of use, when the monitor wire was pulled out, something shorted out on the board, and there was an issue with the T2 chip. This occurred at the same time that the warranty expired. The Mac did not completely switch on, and an emergency shutdown occurred as a result. The so-called "repair" cost seventy thousand dollars, but in reality it was an entirely new motherboard that was installed. I'm not sure whether Apple or Intel is more to responsible for the poppy's weird behavior and poor value for the money, but it certainly didn't live up to its billing.

Pros
  • + Large and comfy touchpad. + Stunning sound system. The screen flawlessly reproduces colors, and the high resolution makes it possible to make out even the minutest of details. + The sound is incredibly robust and expansive. + The cooling system is quite effective, and the housing is made of aluminum that is resistant to scratches. You can attach the charging cable to either side of the device, or you can connect it to a monitor that has a powerdelivery function. In comparison to the prior generation: + An outstanding, whisper-quiet, and non-sticky keyboard + This particular Esc button is a physical one and does not respond to touch.
Cons
  • - The Intel i9 processor is not a bonus but a drawback because it generates heat continuously and because, under varying loads, it might deplete the battery in as little as one hour. - Because the cooling system is so powerful, there is a lot of noise produced as a result; for this reason, it is unreasonable to expect to be able to play without headphones. The process of switching between the built-in graphics and the discrete graphics works in a peculiar manner. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, a simple software may turn on a discrete video card, which will cause the laptop to overheat and will deplete the battery. - Intel's Thunderbolt controller is a complete and utter failure. The temperature rises by approximately 10 to 15 degrees whenever an external monitor is connected and internet browsing is performed. As a direct consequence of this, the temperature consistently ranges between 75 and 80 degrees. It goes up to 85 when watching a movie on a monitor that is connected to the computer. (Apple Silicon does not have this difficulty in any way.) - Weight! This Mac weights 2 kilograms, but that doesn't include the 96-watt power supply, which adds another 400 grams. It is not the most comfortable feeling to have to constantly have it on your person in the form of a backpack. - In the second month of use, a crack emerged on the plastic frame right on the inscription "MacBook Pro," which is continually an eyesore. The fracture has since been repaired, but it is still an ugly.

All the advantages negate the terrible build quality. It doesn’t fit in my head that a laptop for 232,000 crunches like a rattle .

I am satisfied with the purchase. I knew about the cons in advance, but the pros pleasantly surprised me.

Different pros: Great screen with HDR. Great sound from 6 speakers. Has some cons: Noisy under load. A useless touchbar is useless.
