Review on ASRock VGA RX6500XT PGD 4GO by Wiktor Lisowicz ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The product can be used, I expected a little more.

if the motherboard only supports pci-e 3.0, then you should take it only with the thought of further upgrading the mother and processor. or better to look at nvidia competitors. faced with a black screen after rolling drivers on rx 6500 xt. The problem is that by default the drivers set the frequency to 59.9 MHz . and the monitor supports only 60. That is, the problem is in the wood, and not in the monitors, hardware and cable. I was able to roll back and solve this problem How to rollback to win10 We go into safe mode with support for network drivers. Again, install the Adrenalin edition drivers, but check the box to roll back to factory settings (if anyone knows how to install the correct hertz from safe mode, tell me, we see the checkbox on the right for this). How to set the correct hertz? If you have a TV, for example, you should look at it hdmi set the resolution and hertz to 60 Hz, reboot and reconnect the monitor. I went to the dns and bought (thank God there were promotions) an hdmi to vga adapter. He himself at the output makes a frequency of 60Hz. Switched in this way. I also saw an adapter from display por to vga, display port to hdmi. The neighbors have never heard so many swear words. I don’t understand the driver developers, firstly, why change the hertz after installation. Secondly, it has always been, so it keeps the settings set for 10 seconds and then tries to roll back if the user does not agree. Thirdly, why set the hertz by default, which is most often not supported, although the standard is 60 Hz. fourthly, why not give the opportunity to choose a hertz at the installation stage As a result, instead of the joy of buying, the whole day is wasted on hassle. And it's good that I still understand something in the hardware

Pros
  • Outperform the 1650 and 1660 competitors due to pci-e 4.0 support,
Cons
  • Driver. Unfortunately, asrock itself does not have drivers. You can only install amd. I don't know if this vendor is the only one with the problem. but on saphire I also found a similar problem
