These ferro rods are huge! Buy the smaller ones if you don't want to work for your fire.lol. The large ones are what I bought and don't bother me because my hands are big enough to use them. Long time practice allows me to light the wick about 1 in 4 tries so far. Windy conditions about 3 or 4 in 20 tries and the wick doesn't stay lit unless it's well protected. I tried it in the rain and was completely unsuccessful and really didn't expect it to work. So that's all I've got right now. I hope it helps someone a bit. Happy shopping.
