It's ok for the money. However, if you push it down too far, the battery door will fall off, or one of the batteries will detach and become loose in the compartment or both grills. The bottom line is that this is not a job! I mean take it and put it on your desk, do you know when you're done with it? Something you would do often, right? For at least half the time this is enough to turn off the batteries. And when I'm busy, as I often am, I don't have the presence of mind to do it properly. That means the next time I use the damn thing it won't work. Bottom line folks, Revain has other scales that are better for about the same money. I suggest one of them. Oh yeah. I can't tell you how much I weighed the batch. They call it. and got a reading that seemed wrong (for someone with 30 years of experience with tiny amounts). And somehow, as you gradually remove your collection from the scale, the reading drops to zero, but you still have items on the scale! BULK-FREE products. BREAKTHROUGH IN QUANTUM PHYSICS! You got my point. Note: I can't entirely blame the scale for this. I have a fan who doesn't like three digit scales no matter who makes them. But I've had many 3-digit scales and none were as bad as this one, with or without wind.
