There are no instructions for the product. The youtube videos don't show any details on how it works. I'm a smart guy and figured it out after about 30 minutes before going to the bin. The device in the advertised image is adjusted in the fully extended position where adjustment occurs when the thrust bearing is withdrawn from the crankshaft. The two side legs are too short to use this device as it is. To get the bearing out of the crankshaft you need to extend each side support on a bushing or whatever so that the top cross member + legs are about 1 inch from the cross member that holds the bearing pegs. Now, as you turn the knurled nut, pull the bearing catch against the support beam, thereby pulling the bearing out of the bore. One more thing: I couldn't mount the 3 hooks in the middle of the pilot bearing because the 3 hooks are too big. I had to grind one of the gripper pins and remove the gripper to insert 3 grippers individually into the center of the bearing. Then I reattached the claw with a sharpened needle. It would be better if the claws are fixed with threaded bolts + nuts to insert the claws one by one into the center of the bearing. It's pretty easy once you understand how to use it.
