Review on 📸 DOUXURY 4 Split Screen Backup Camera System with HD 1080P Monitor and DVR Recording by Lawrence Feldman

Mixed Results: Good: 1) I like the look and feel of the monitor. It actually has a rubbery feel, which is nice, and it doesn't leave fingerprints like some other cases. It seems significant. 2) The buttons are very clearly labeled, pleasant to the touch, very well lit, and channel selection is direct. 3) The sun visor is a good size and is firmly integrated into the front panel. 4) The mount is strong and well designed 5) The device has been found to record sound. I suspect this is coming from the monitor itself, but I haven't looked further. 6) On the monitor (note my wording) The camera image is wide and of excellent quality. Side note: 1) The instructions leave a lot to be desired. It doesn't quite match what the device is doing, or sometimes makes little sense. 2) Paragraph 4.3.3 "Reduce video" does NOT contain any explanation. I think this might be the cause of the serious problem described below. 3) It only records videos in 3 minute increments. So you get a lot of files to work with. NOT GOOD: 1) Customer support. - A) I sent a detailed email asking for an SD card, battery and extended warranty to be sent to me. - BI asked SPECIFIC questions about devices and menu issues - CI asked if other devices/options are available ----> I didn't get any answers to any of my other questions-------> What I got was the obviously prepared message "that we are ready to offer you a great service, ask any questions. Yes Correct. TERRIBLE answer. I will try to get decent and correct answers from you when I have time. Now must I only have to deal with it. VERY BAD: Check your SD card! Curious if it really used the full capacity of the card, so after a few days of recording turned off the device with the power switch and pulled out the card. Not satisfied with what I found (sound) 3) The rear camera was recording (with sound) a narrow format (e.g. side view) but I was in full quad view) 4) Both the left and right cameras took To n up. but NO video. I previously tested with a small SD card (8G that I had on hand). And when they never sent an SD card I went out and bought a very good 128G which I use. On a previous SD card, the front and back sides were recorded full-width, while the left and right sides were recorded narrow. I suspect it's something in the menu settings - like the inexplicable "zoom out video" or some other interaction between menu items. I will test this more and update if a) they contact me b) I figure out the issues. Now for me the only value is the camera and the display. I do NOT trust DVR features.
