1000x better than matte spray paint

HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME YOU! I took a $10 door and converted it into a sliding door for my laundry room. I knew I had to do something with the glass because it faces the front door of my apartment and when people come in it's the first thing you see. Whose laundry is always spotless? Not mine, that's for sure. Took me about an hour to install because I was alone. With 2 people it would be much easier and if you make the window bigger you definitely need 2 people. Pros: * really offers the 'hidden' factor I wanted * wasn't terrible to install myself * economical and looks MUCH better than the matte spray paint I used on a previous project (which looked so bad that I ended up scraping everything off) *The pattern is consistent and if you don't get your lines perfectly horizontal or vertical no one will notice. Cons: * It's static cling, and unless you live in a vacuum-sealed world, dust and flakes of paint will get trapped between the film and the window. *You must use SEVERAL new razor blades to trim it. The edges of mine are a bit jagged, but I guess I'm the only one who can really tell. * If you attach a whole sheet to the window, you need two people. I'm very happy with it! a quart of mineral water and 1/4 teaspoon unconditioned baby shampoo as my solution in a spray bottle and it worked fine. Shampoo is key, as becomes clear.

Pros
  • NO ADHESIVE: Static adhesive-free technology sticks strongly to surfaces but is easy to remove and reuse
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
