When you purchase a Dorman Universal CV Boot Kit 614-001 or 614-003 it comes with the type of clamps this tool is designed for. I used an 8 clamp tool to load a resume and the tool worked as intended and was strong enough. and able to work. Instructions for use are on the back of the bubble wrap. The clip tightens the band and allows you to fold the band so it is in position to fold the 2 small tabs on the clip. down to fix it. You'll need to find something small to insert the small grommets on the clip as the tool isn't designed to do that part of the job. It just doesn't cost much and works. (Not related to the tool itself, you'll need something like metal snips or very sharp diagonal wire cutters to snip off the excess metal portion of the yoke.) Note. This tool is not intended for use with Oetiker CV clamps; who use a pliers-like tool that squeezes and tightens the clamp. If you're not sure what you have, you'll have to search the internet for the information you want.
