This is a great opportunity to make a properly cooked frozen pizza. Some pizzas require you to place the pizza directly on the counter in order to cook it properly. Yes. Right. A few pizza bases and toppings are ideal. Only do this if you want the house full of pizza smoke or pizza/topping/cheese butter falling on the bottom of your oven. Foil or a mat will protect you from additional cleaning, but will not protect you from smoke. Using a vented skillet works well, but changes the cooking time as well as the texture of the crust. These screens are great. They let the heat through from below and keep your pizza intact. If there is some oil/topping/cheese on the screen, soak it in a shallow basin of water with washing up liquid, rub the stains lightly with a nail brush and clean! This size even fits in the dishwasher.
