UPDATE 1 DAY LATER: I picked up my xl21 this morning before going out (maybe let the carpets be clean while no one is home to spoil them). Now there's a faint creaking coming from the belt?! Do you mean that seriously. As?! My Oreck is top notch with no issues. I'm not so happy with these tapes. And our carpets aren't weirdly thick either. I have some orcs (good ones only) like xl21 and eleveit to subdue. The belt on the XL21 needs to be changed frequently and I only changed it once, just after I got my new vacuum. I don't use it much but it's great. So I knew I needed a new belt because my vacuum cleaner started squeaking a little from the belt being too tight. I spent extra money on them because they were in the original packaging judging by the picture. They came in a clear bag with a little sticker saying they were genuine Oreck belts. I could make this bag myself. So I just have to TRUST that they are real. Why repackage? I know from experience and have spoken to experts who advise only using genuine genuine Oreck straps as they last longer and I don't want to void my warranty. Yes, they say yell at her, but it still doesn't mean much. I put it on my car, yes it works. However, I still give it 1 star because most people buy it specifically to make sure it's the real deal rather than taking anyone's word for it. Your options were cheaper, anywhere from $1-2, but that's AGAIN 20-30% more if you're talking about something that cheap anyway. We pay for what is shown in the photo.
