There is a small hole in the lid next to the hole you have to drink from. When you go out to drink, in my case water, it drips onto my face from a small handle. I would expect the hole to prevent the vacuum effect, but it seems to do more harm than good. You can rest your finger on it while drinking to keep it from spilling, but who wants that? In addition, the lid/spout is screwed to a secure point, the spout doesn't line up with the handle, resulting in an awkward drinking angle. Otherwise good size, solid, well marked and should hold up well.
