Great for tug of war and fetch, heavy enough, balanced, my dog can get her nose through the middle, which makes for some hilarious photos. We inherited the smaller size, already used, and it has withstood every test. The toy stays outdoors through rain and snow and still holds together. She has chewed the edges but she can't pull it apart. I bought this one, the larger size, about five months ago. My dog is a 40 lb golden doodle. Either size is good. I think she actually prefers the smaller one, The toughest dog toys I've ever seen.
