I bought this hat for sunny Florida vacation, I have thin hair and my scalp would get burned so bad, I have tried a lot of hats( would fly off in the wind) bandanas, I swore if I didn’t find something soon to keep my scalp from being severely burned I was gonna invent something. When I seen this hat, I thought ok one more to try. Once in Florida I was hoping for the best expecting the worst bc of previous fails. OMGOSH I love this hat! It kept my scalp from burning for 7 days! It’s breathable, it even kept my ears from burning! I will purchase more to keep on hand. Don’t let the large brim throw you off ( it did me at first lol) I highly recommend to anyone that what’s a breathable hat that will protect your scalp and ears from the harsh uv rays.
