I did some "spill tests" and found that if tipped for more than a few seconds, liquid will spill down the side and through the opening where the straw is placed. In addition, the lid is not screwed and does not close securely. It's a "tight-fitting" silicone-like lid, so it's not the best in terms of leak protection. Despite all that, the mug feels great. It's heavy (feels expensive), looks good, and does the job. The silicone coating on the glass mug makes it less cold when you drink cold drinks. In general I like the cup.
