Actually a piece of cement with a hole in it.
I bought this product to roast marshmallows at home, but then I realized that when the marshmallow inevitably falls off the stick it just sticks to the cement and looks gross. It's basically a piece of cement, so there's no way to detach the marshmallow group from it. It has to be a whole project. And it's a light color, so I'm sure the charring will make it look awful too. It works but I sent it back because it didn't really serve my purpose.
