I have an older Mueller knee brace with a spring hinge that works much better. It stays in place, restricts movement to prevent overstretching and provides excellent support (even when used in sports). It doesn't stay in place very well and doesn't offer that kind of support. It can work well for short-term use and light work. but for someone like me with long-term recurring knee pain who leads a moderately active lifestyle, this orthosis is not suitable. I recommend the Mueller Athletic Medicine Hinged Bandage - it's currently $19 here at Revain and well worth the price (I've had mine for 4 years, use it for hiking/rowing and it's still great the best i've ever had.
