This is a great product that works very well, uses little power, has a cool design and an easy to use app. In anticipation of fire season, I wanted to get another air purifier. I chose this device because of the combination of features, design and price. Setup was easy. Just plug it in and choose the mode (automatic, manual). In automatic mode, the device "sniffs" the air and starts the fan faster or slower depending on the air quality. The fan draws air through the HEPA filter and cleans the air. The air quality is shown on a circular display with a number (particles in the air) and a colored bar (green, yellow or red depending on the air quality). If you want to control it with your phone, download Mi Home App. Setup is very easy. Open the app, press the + button and the app will find and connect to the device. Then connect it to your WiFi. That's all. Now you can manage it from anywhere. The app lets you see the air quality, change the fan speed with the slider, and see how the filter works, among other things. When I set mine up, I turned it on and set it to automatic. He said the air quality is 3 which is good so the fan was running very slow. Silence at this speed. Then I lit some matches near the air purifier. Within two seconds, the device detected smoke and automatically turned on the high power. The number of particles reached 600 and the bar turned red. Over the course of a few minutes, the particle count gradually dropped to 30, and the fan slowed down along the way. After a few more minutes, the particle count dropped to 3 and there was no smoke smell. Impressive. The fan is very quiet and energy efficient, filters a lot of air. It consumes only 2W on the lowest setting and only 30W on the highest setting. It is very efficient. At high speeds it filters a lot of air but is not very noisy. The application allows you to choose any fan speed you like, and the power consumption will be automatically adjusted within this range. In addition, the device has a stylishly elegant design. I think this is a great product and I would definitely recommend it. Nice to have: It would be nice if they added a handle to the next version of the product to make it easier to carry. But this is very insignificant since the device is very light. Wishlist: I hope Xiaomi eventually makes a device smaller and more portable than this one. I would like to take it on a camping trip to clear the air in the tent of dust and pollen. Due to the low power consumption, it would easily be possible to operate it via a power bank.
