This doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some other kettles out there but it is effective at what it's supposed to do. boil water.It is a simple design. Plug in the hot plate, put the kettle on the peg and push the button. It doesn't have temp controls like some others but is effective and accurate at boiling the water and letting you know when it is done.Only thing that is a bit of an issue is at the very top of the kettle is a lip. This lip prevents you from completely emptying the kettle of water as the water gets under the lip and stays in the kettle. You have to remember to use the spout to get the last little bit of water out.Otherwise this is a great, simple kettle and does what it's supposed to.
