Review on High Definition Voice Cordless Speaker Phone - Philips CD 4401 by Tina Moore

While not perfect I am happy with my purchase of this CD4401 phone. It's slim, beautiful and thanks to DECT 6.0 it offers excellent sound quality without any background noise, even the whisper of static noise that is inevitable even with the best 2.4/5.8 GHz technologies. A real plus is the standard 2.5mm headphone jack, which is hard to find on DECT 6.0 phones. The online product description for the CD4401 was ambiguous as to what type of headset connection was offered (it just says "country dependent"), but I can confirm that this one sold to me by Revain in the US was a standard 2, Includes 5mm jack for headphones. The cons of this phone are: (i) the characters on the display get noticeably dimmer with the blue backlight on, even when using the maximum contrast setting, and (ii) the stand cannot be mounted on a wall, it must be on your desk. But for less than $50, I'm willing to put up with that inconvenience.
