The pump stops pumping when the engine is hot

This is not an acceptable solution for the Kohler M20. I replaced the factory pump with this aftermarket pump and that was more trouble than it was worth. At first I thought the gas cap was bad so I tried starting the mower without the gas cap but the pump still wouldn't work. I want to guarantee this, but the supplier number is inactive.
