Sewing, falling apart after six short months

I've had the belt for six months now, but I only wear it once every couple of weeks.
After some wear, the stitching around the buckle began to unravel. The belt is nice but won't last long.

 I liked the gift packaging and a very nice belt

Difficult to clean
