PRO: 1. THE BEST thing about these sleeves is that they are true to size. ; Many other brands do not match their sizes and this matters when the label size is critical or preset. These sleeves are 6.5" wide (6 1/8 can be used inside the sleeve) and 10.25" long (8 7/8 can be used INSIDE the sleeve - fits 9 3/8" paper, if you tuck the end under the break ) outside the track.) So you'll be at least the same size as advertised (6x9).2 - The glue seems to work well, even around the edges, while other brands sometimes start to pull away from the edges to loosen and I usually have to glue along each edge to be sure it won't come off. With these I feel more confident that the glue will "stay in place" than other brands .(If you've used this label protector before you know what I mean.) It CAN stick together, but they seem less brittle, so it happens less often (at least for me). This can also help prevent, that the sleeve is puckering at the edges of the packaging - could be both - by using a better adhesive and/or a stiffer plastic. CONS: 1 - The sleeves are very huggable, especially when you're trying to tuck documents inside. Sleeve. I have used many different brands and others are very flimsy and easy to open while this brand is very difficult to open with a finger or hand due to static cling. Pretty tricky if you're trying to insert labels quickly. I have to stop everything and use two hands. I know this sounds silly, but I'm always very busy shipping items and have documents, pens, etc. on hand. Opening a suitcase doesn't have to be a tedious two-handed job. 2. Another unattractive thing is the smell - they have a strong chemical odor, probably due to the plastic or glue used. It may go away over time, but it doesn't overwhelm or stink throughout the room - it only smells noticeably (and unpleasantly) when you're working with sleeves, and my office closet smells like that bad odor now. ONE MORE - These cases are completely transparent once you remove the backing to stick on a box or envelope. For SOME people, this can be great. For others (like me) I'm counting on a white or solid backing on these cases (like many other brands) so that if I stick them on a used box (yes I'm a home user and I refuse to buy boxes). may cover previous labels and barcodes from previous shipping activities. Now that this is clear I need to put an additional full size folded sheet of paper inside the envelope THEN my label if I need/want to hide the rest of the stickers on the package. Some of you (like me) will fret about this. For others (e.g. if you used a decorated packaging box and don't WANT a white rectangle on its surface) this could be great. However - this should be said, no surprise. SO, now you know!
