Review on 🧷 Moen Brantford YB2203BN Brushed Nickel Double Robe Hook by Bobby Cantu

The coat hooks themselves are very nice and well constructed, but unfortunately this junk "profit" fastening system makes them completely useless. Instead of using a metal screw mount that attaches to a twin screw like literally everything else (including most other Moen products), they opted for a plastic single screw mount that attaches to the hook with plastic. a protrusion that cannot be removed from the wall without damaging the wall, the hook, or both. I carefully followed the instructions and attached the bracket to the wall and then snapped the hook onto the bracket. Now the hook was attached to the strut, but the strut was dangling from the wall! The whole thought whirled freely back and forth! I thought maybe if I could strengthen the bracket with extra screws then everything would be fine, but the hook doesn't come off the bracket without damaging something. I tried to get the coat hook out of the bracket, but squeezing the tab didn't do anything - I even pushed through the bottom of the coat hook as my hand slipped off. I ended up having to partially pry the bracket off the wall to get a second screwdriver behind the bracket so I could actually pry it off the hook. Then the metal tab got stuck in the wall so I tried to pull it out with needle nose pliers but I had to break the front part and leave the rest stuck in the wall. So annoying! I can't understand the person who came up with this mounting system and how they actually got paid for it. And that Moen put this worthless rubbish on the market is incomprehensible. Worst of all, we really like the hooks themselves, but it's literally impossible to mount them any other way as the back of the hook is molded to this particular mount. Unbelievable!
