Review on ⏳ TIME TIMER 60 Minute MOD Education Edition: Visual Timer for Kids Classroom Learning, Elementary Teachers Desk Clock, Homeschool Study Tool and Office Meetings with Silent Operation (Charcoal) by Sandra Reyes

Best Pomodoro timer yet, but a bit unsuitable for open offices

Pros: - Unlike other reviewers, my timer still works well after 1.5+ years of daily use (8+ uses per day, I often throw it away in my backpack). The only casualty so far is that my little one ripped off the pointy part of the dial to set the timer, which makes it a bit harder to understand - I find a highly visible "time left" much better / more motivating way to use the timer Work block to communicate remaining time, as a simple countdown. Also, unlike other reviewers, I like the 'rotate to adjust' feature. The original Pomodoro method actually recommends doing some sort of manual "set timer" action like this at the start of each block of work. While I'm not convinced it's necessary, it certainly doesn't bother me. It's true that the timer lacks resolution beyond 30 seconds, but I don't care if I set my timer to 25 minutes or 25 minutes and 30 seconds. Cons: - Difficult to use this in an open office environment without disturbing others. . There are only two volume options: LOUD and LOW, which is fine at home but unfair to those around you in the office. I'd like some sort of alarm clock that alerts me on my desk but is less annoying to those around me, like a bright flashing light on the front clock face. I also think the extra "low" volume setting would make it less obnoxious in open offices. Likewise, I'd like a "Confirm Alarm" button at the top that disables the alarm for that block. For now, I do that by jumping onto the alarm clock, fumbling for the little switch on the back, and toggling it from 'volume on' to 'volume off'. This would probably matter less if there was a better alert mode to avoid disturbing others (e.g. low volume or flashing lights), but it would still be nice no matter what. Overall, I definitely recommend this.
