I set mine up in a hurry. I was in a hurry. The getting started guide made it super easy, I logged into the web interface, connected to my existing WiFi and in about a minute I had the internet "wired" in my bedroom for my gaming PC. Added an 8-port switch, port 1 connected to TP-Link, now my secondary PC and M1 Mac Mini are "hardwired". Using it at 5GHz gives you an excellent signal through 2 walls. The hotspot (bridge) is on top of one of my computer towers, a few inches from the wall my desk is leaning against. No problem. One cool feature I really like is that you can set the little green LEDs to turn off at certain times. Just a very handy little feature for people like me who use it in the bedroom. The DHCP server is set to AUTO by default. Luckily he was smart enough not to turn it on since the router is already handing out IP addresses. In any case, I hardcoded it to OFF. A small bug and don't lose a star, the web interface url stopped working after putting it in bridged mode. Instead, you need to figure out what an IP address is and navigate to it that way. But once you set it up, you don't have to worry about it anymore. I've been driving for a week now with no problems. I was planning on running some ethernet in the lobby at some point, and I still could, but right now this thing is faster than our internet access anyway, so it might not be there for a long time. Hope this is helpful. happy customer <3
