It was a bust in a Christmas present! I bought 2 of these for my 2 boys. My 12 year old watched it first and had to start all over again because he ran out of cord before he got to the end. I've lost count of the number of times he's unbuttoned it completely! He tried again the next morning (yes, it was that bad!). We adjusted the length several times and it's still not a perfect end product. In the end we settled on 6.5 inches and then he had more! And weave the spikes back into the already tightened knots with a thin stick that has broken. Forget it! My husband ended up having to finish it for him and, against instructions, cut off the ends and reburn. I'm sending the second one back. If my 12 year olds who have made them before can't build this set, then neither can my 9 year olds!
