About two years ago, lightning struck my phone line and destroyed everything that wasn't protected. My computer was connected through Belkin Surgemaster and was not affected. My satellite receiver burned and the surge went back to the dish and also burned the LNB. Then I bought the HTS 400 because, in addition to electrical connections, it also has protection for the telephone line and the satellite cable. I only gave 4 stars because I didn't notice any difference in TV reception. I had an electrical problem last week that resulted in 240s being sent on two circuits in my house. The HTS 400 was sacrificed, but all connections were retained. I'll get replacements for it, but this time I'll get it from Revain for half the price I paid for the first one at Best Buy.
