I swim 3-4 times a week; somewhere between 9k and 20k yards. In the summer I swim in the sea to prepare for a 10k race or other open water event. I used to have a Polar V600 and liked it for many years. I've been using Vantage V for a week now and I love it. Heart rate and swim distance tracking is better than my previous wstch. The screen is big and clear even during flips. I also like the notifications from my phone that let me know about upcoming events, incoming calls, and other notifications. I believe this is new from a recent update. They work well but with fewer options than a full Android watch. Didn't try swimming in open water, it's still too cold. I believe this will work fine based on the feedback I've seen from others.
