Seems to work. Unfortunately I turned it on and had to sit for about 5 minutes so the water had to sit for maybe 2 minutes before I went back for a drink - I don't know how that affects the hydrated aspect of the water but from a generator bubbles came out. I'll try again without going and update the review if I have a strong feeling that either 1) it definitely makes a difference in the water or 2) it definitely DOESN'T. If I'm still not sure, I can choose not to update. However, I would say that it's good to read the 'manual' - I assumed I knew what I was doing, so I just plugged in the water bottle with the included micro USB cable and took a while left on. I thought it wasn't because there was no loading indicator, but still. I was curious how this bottle restructures water, so I looked at the instructions and realized that you shouldn't plug it in until you're ready to use it. It doesn't charge, it just uses the cable when it needs power. It doesn't hold any energy. Another useful note is that it says you should NOT run it a second time without first depressurizing the inside of the bottle. In other words, once you start the hydrogen generator (which the instructions say takes about 3 minutes), open the bottle to release the pressure before starting it again. Otherwise 8t may damage the generator motor. The only comparison I have with hardened water is using Dr. Mercola's hydrogen tablets that you simply drop in water and dissolve. Obviously this is not a mechanical method. I really think they're pretty good - I hope they can do what these pills do.
