Great way to keep your phone handy

This is a very good holder to keep your phone handy, accessible and easy to grab when you get out of the car. It's not a dock, so it won't signal your phone to go into car mode unless you use something like an NFC tag to change phone modes. It holds the phone well in portrait or landscape mode and the phone can use its own screen rotation mode to give you the right view. It comes with 2 metal plates to attach to the phone, although only 1 comes with adhesive. Others only metal only. Any of them can be inserted between the phone and the case (if you have one). I haven't tried inserting the plate into the Samsung's battery cover, but it might work. However, it seems better to avoid metal near the battery and other electronics inside the phone body. As mentioned in the description, this bracket fits into the CD slot of your dash mounted CD player. I've tested Buick Enclave with satnav (2010), Jeep Wrangler radio with sat (2009), BMW 330i (2014) and VW Passat with satnav (2013) and they all work great. The screw on the bottom needs to be opened to allow the bracket to fit in the slot, and then turned enough to hold the bracket securely. Do not overtighten or you may damage the CD player slot or bracket. We have used 2 plates on 2 different phones with cases: Samsung 3S and Samsung Note 3. I have a colleague who also uses it with an Apple iPhone 5s (with case). Even the heavier Note 3 has no bouncing issues and holds up securely in all road conditions. The cradle holds the phone securely with a magnetic part on the cradle and a metal plate on the phone (or in its case). There's very little bumping on the road, so it's easy to read the screen, although you'll want to keep your eyes on the road while you're driving, as many distracted drivers ahead of you are already doing stupid things. Please don't be "one of them". ;)
