Review on Double Oversize Plastic Outersleeves Records Accessories & Supplies by Ronnie Segobiano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Funny big.

I'm not giving them a bad rating because they give you dimensions but they are too big for your standard spread. Record by Dexter Gordon. My fingertip is on the edge of the LP sleeve, the upper end, the jacket is pressed all the way down into this sleeve. There's almost an inch of extra space. It's like even the big, heavy Music Matters Jazz reissues. It's more like putting your spreads in a pocket rather than your sleeve. Bookshelf, they just tend to slide off the record. However, they do publish measurements and they are accurate. But for anything but the biggest triple albums or thin box sets, they're overkill. The quality is okay and the price is otherwise right. If you want HUGE outer cases, that's fine. If, like me, you collect audiophile jazz reissues, look elsewhere if you don't mind baggy sleeves. I would really like to see MoFi make the outer shell a bit bigger.

Pros
  • Media Storage and Organization
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
