I almost never bought one of the many Android TV boxes because the reviews about it seemed like the technology was getting more stable. Then I came across this Xiaomi Mi Box S Android TV and was impressed with how many reviewers said they turned around and ordered more of these devices to pair with other TVs in their homes and give away to friends and family. I've only had MI for 2 days but thought it wasn't too early to check it out because the setup and final results were very good. All the "issues" I found were not due to MI but were caused by the APP or something preventing copyright or other legal issues from working. After studying each "disappointment," I found that all competitors had the same problems. If you think MI will turn your TV into a tablet, you may be disappointed. It's more of a streaming device, so things like the Kindle app might disappoint you. I think these types of apps might be better suited for the device you are holding and it seems logical to me that no research and development was put into such apps. Everything I wanted to add to my pre-smart Samsung LED TV now works like a modern smart TV. One more mention. According to my research, no Android TV Box has an internet browser app. I found recommendations for Puffin Browser. With a name like that I would never download it but what was said about the APP was positive so I gave it a try. There were no problems with the download and installation, everything works without problems. This completes my installation and I'm happy with the end result.
