I have zero nail experience. I'm almost 40 and the most I can do it a patchy quick essie polish deal that will always get ruined by the end of the day. My natural nails are like onion skin and I am constantly peeling them. I tried press on nails and they pop off within the hour.TikTok sold me yet another obsession with this and I will be danged - I did get it to work for me! Granted my first try the nails were THICC. Hilariously so, but passable to people not in the know. I could shape them to the exact length so I could still unbuckle the car seat, etc, and they were SO STRONG. Some advice: the base coat stays tacky after the cure - I did not know this and thought it wasn't curing. A little gel goes a long way, and you can always add more on later but you can't easily take it away. Pack most of it in the middle, as the form may have more curve than your own nail and create an empty pocket if not enough product there. Buy the $20 pink electric file, as you will need it to take these bad boys off and to easily file the shape. I have really slender fingers, but no forms will fit my right thumb. I had to try the use the paper form and that was hilarious. It worked, barely. I'm still on the hunt for a wide enough form for that thumb, as using one that has a curve on that flat nail wouldn't stick, even with a clip trying to hold it down.
