I have my original jewelry box from early 2015 and I have accumulated so much over the years it was so disorganized and crowded. It wasn't big enough to hang necklaces so I used the sides to hang my earrings and when I got this new one I had to untangle the huge tangles of all my necklaces. I wish I had a photo before moving the decorations to the new one; It was a disaster. The first two photos are old. The new one is much bigger and I can hang my chains and necklaces on it. I read some of the reviews before realizing that the tags had to be placed in the bottom pockets and would get tangled up there, but I got around this by hanging them differently so they barely touch the small pocket at the bottom. Some areas are a bit small; There were more slots I dedicated to chokers and these colorful necklaces that overflow in the third drawer but will probably get tangled up when I slide them into the big one but I was able to put my very long earrings in there so it was nice . The little stains in the second drawer are amazing! I have so many pendants with no special chains so I change them often and I only had a few places to put them all and where to put my dangling earrings as there was no special place in the earring drawer (first box). I like the earring box very much, I can also put rings in it if I want. The dividers seem useless in the sense that I probably won't put anything in between because when they have to be pulled out to take out the earrings, whatever's inside falls to the floor. The lower one is suitable for small substrates. If anyone knows the best way to use the earring box I'd love to know (for the dangling). I don't wear watches but the top matched all my straps perfectly after I removed the watch pads. I left one for the elastic beaded bracelets simply because it looks nice. I don't have many rings so the top fits all mine, but I want more so I'll probably have to move some to the earring drawer once I have more. The only thing I like about my old one (unless it came with a travel case that you could take with you and take out, but I hardly ever used it and it got stolen anyway) is that the lock was really important. All the sides closed around the drawers and knobs and then latched to the top so you couldn't get in at all without a key. This new; The lock only locks the top. You can access all drawers and side panels for necklaces without a key. I don't mind, since I rarely locked my old box anyway, and I didn't have any expensive jewelry either. But it would be nice if I left town. TLDR, the lock only locks the top part, so anything really valuable should be placed there. The sides are great for untangling necklaces and chains. In short, this is a great box that you need the space and love for careful organization.
