Lit on stovetop

One of these caught fire on my stovetop - the paint is very thin and is peeling off creating a fire hazard. Do not use them if they flake in any way. My whole burner was on and it was paint. I've only had them for about six months, so I'll be looking for something powder coated or stainless steel. Very dangerous.
