Review on Sangean RCR 20 Bluetooth Charging Digital by Jason Caldwell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great sound and rich features!

Fantastic multifunction radio! My only complaint is that it doesn't support HD radio, but I did my homework and knew that before I bought it. That's not a complaint, but for the price and the overall feature set of the device, it would be nice. It has RDS so you can still see the band, song title and station. Otherwise it plays very clear and sounds fantastic. This device replaced the Polk i-Sonic, which finally met its death after many years of everyday use, so the Sangean had many problems. I'm happy to say it does the job! Obviously the bass isn't as rich (as there are 2 fewer speakers) but there are bass ports on the back which help. The Polk was a little boomy at times, but this radio handles it perfectly. There is an equalizer that allows you to control the bass, treble and volume setting, which I keep on "0" for bass and "4" for treble. YMMV. The remote control gives you full control of the device. This even goes beyond controlling the top of the radio as you can access both memory banks from the remote, but only the 1st bank from the unit. All in all a great radio from a well known name in the business!
