Expect to use a lot of batteries
I wanted the battery to be able to place the tree where I want it. I used to have ceramic trees. With AA batteries, the brightness will drop to zero even after a few evenings of use. If you use this tree very often, expect a lot of batteries. I switched to rechargeable batteries, but they only last a few hours. I will be back to hook up the electricity for the next holiday season. Otherwise the tree looks fine when lit.
