I've read negative reviews before how to order it and was annoyed by a common complaint that the blade felt dull in one spot and didn't cut "at regular intervals" because of a "dull spot". When I first used it, it seemed like it really was. However, I soon realized that the problem was NOT with the blade, but with the pressure I was applying to the blade assembly, pushing it forward. Any release of my pressure resulted in that this section of the strip was not cut cleanly through the fabric (I cut the polar fleece into strips to make a patchwork quilt). Once I figured that out and was aware of maintaining pressure on the knife handle, there were no more problems, no jumps at all. Every cut was done very clearly and accurately. I would recommend this product for its ease of use IF YOU understand how to use it. There are short videos on Youtube that show you how to flatten the fabric/paper to make the right width cuts. It was a bit difficult at first, but once I figured it out, it was easy. Perfect cuts in perfect width. but then again, once I figured it out, it was easy.
