It was a refurb at first but it was in excellent condition. No problem with that. Second, it replaced the old installation. I had a central 802.11b/g/n router but it didn't cover the edges of the house, so I installed two additional legacy 802.11b/g routers as access points at each edge of the main router's coverage. New router for faster speeds, initially only bought one to see if I was happy with it, expecting to have to buy two more to use as hotspots like the old setup. Spring. The new router easily covers the whole house, no access points are required. I am very happy with it. What a great purchase.
