Very thin, light, cheap plastic. The handle is easy to detach and remove when in use, and the bristles are too soft to be useful. Maybe a little better than nothing, but overall it's not a very high quality product. Bought a cheap one from Sallys a few years ago, it looked exactly like the picture. The Sallys were $5 and used more rubbery and thicker plastic. While it appeared in the picture, that of Sally's quill was firmly attached to it and would not come loose with light use. Not worth the 4.99 it cost. You need to significantly improve the quality of the product. This may be normal for a newborn, but not for an adult, even with very thin long hair.
