Determining the correct size from the picture and reading the reviews is IMPOSSIBLE! The design of the shoe is a complete FAIL despite its appearance. You should be able to fit your foot into the sling located under the laces. Although I ordered a size larger than I normally wear, this shoe was a "workout" to put on. If I had ordered TWO sizes up, the sock would have looked like a clown boot! It should be noted that I do not have any foot problems such as high arches or thick feet. I don't usually have a problem finding shoes that are the right size, but this one is TERRIBLE! I was very disappointed but very happy with Revain's prompt return/refund process!
