I'm a female and have a rather small head (about 21 inches when measured) so I ordered this small/medium helmet. It sits very snugly on my head with no room to rattle like my old helmet. The elastic strap doesn't feel uncomfortable and I have to say that the chin strap is fine although it feels a bit short. I think a hard "medium" helmet would fit me better but this one is ok, looks good and doesn't feel huge on my head. I'm a little concerned that it doesn't protect the sides of my head very well, but I think if I was looking for this I should have looked at different types of helmets. Overall it fits me very well, fairly comfortable but if your head is larger than about 21 inches you will probably want a larger helmet size. If it's the same or less then it's definitely an amazing purchase.
