I have a 2014 Imac Pro with an amazing screen. I wanted an extra screen and this Dell had great reviews for their screen. It's actually pretty close to the Mac, but not as good. In terms of clarity, I'm very happy with it. My issue with Dell is that they had no literature on how to connect to an Imac of that age. I spoke to a Dell rep and he was able to tell me what might work. And it worked. The problem is that Dell doesn't respond when my imac goes to sleep. I have to unplug the Dell for 30 seconds, plug it back in and the image comes back. Sometimes this is normal after a sleep sequence and sometimes it isn't. No obvious pattern is observed. I called Dell and they referred me to the mac and said the imac should be configured correctly. I can Apple and they point the finger at Dell. And so in a circle. I thought it was an Apple issue because it's 8 years old and doesn't even use the latest Imac OS. I hope to update imac this year and hope the problem will be solved. Neither Apple nor Dell can tell me this will happen.
