Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Quiksilver Carver Toddler Sandal TAN: Solid Boys' Shoes for Comfort and Style by Brett Morrison

Good sandal, bad strap

We bought a similar pair of Quicksilver sandals for our little one. All previous versions were with synthetic belts. We couldn't find the right size for synthetic (why doesn't anyone have a size 8?!) so we bought the leather version this time. There was an error. First, the sandals themselves are pretty cute. Decent leather with a firm sole. The problem is the small strap that wraps around the back of the heel. The elastic has been sewn with a seam facing towards the wearer's leg. This creates a large area of friction and leads to ulcers on both legs after a day of wear. We let the wounds heal and then tried again. Same result, ulcers on both legs. The problem is solved by removing the straps (but that's the whole point of these flip flops, they actually stay on baby's feet!) Instead, we bought a pair of Sanuk Root Beer Cozys.

Pros
  • Anatomically correct arch support, heel and toe contour
Cons
  • Wrinkled
