I read the reviews before buying and some said that the device never reaches the desired temperature. I flippantly thought it was user error. Well I received mine today and it's not getting to the desired temperature. Set it to 146 and it goes up to 145.9 as fast as my old sous vide bullet but then just stays there. He was literally out all day (from 8:30am to 6:00pm) and never arrived. It sits stubbornly, just shyly. I usually only cook at this temperature (it's only 10 degrees), but you can start the timer until it reaches temperature. As I am not the only buyer who has had this experience I will be returning but instead of getting a replacement I will be getting a completely different model.
