I have many ratchet straps of medium to medium quality. It is very difficult to find a "good" gray belt. I decided to try this belt. Since it was very cheap I knew not to expect much. The belt itself. Hmmm. There are a few people wondering if this is real leather. I also doubt that it is real leather. First, this belt has no "backbone". It is very thin and doesn't retain its structure compared to my other genuine leather belts. Outside structure type "crocodile" with a slight shimmer. It looks good. The ratchet mechanism is correct. No problem. The buckle itself looks beautiful. However, I do have an issue with the ratchet on the buckle itself. It seems to "get stuck" when unlatching (lacks the smooth release compared to my other ratchet buckles). To me this is a sign of a poorly made buckle (I have experience with poor quality Chinese made ratchet buckles). But come on. For $13 this belt and the build quality is quite acceptable in my opinion. I just want the ratchet setup to be a little clearer. This would make this belt 4/5. The loss of another star is due to the lack of rigidity of the belt itself. In general I would say that you need this belt. $13 is a good price, and the build quality isn't absolute rubbish. Just a few minor tweaks and this belt would have been worth it.
