I love this pet hair broom! What a discovery! I've had the wire bristled ones which worked fine except you had to clean the bristles every minute as they clogged up quickly. The rubber bristles are awesome. They work differently, collecting fur and dirt into a pile that can then be brushed into a dustpan. Best of all, rubber bristles don't need to be cleaned like metal bristles, saving you time and effort. That alone is a big advantage for me. The handle is also much stronger than a metal rake. I will admit that metal rakes are good at removing fur from carpets, but honestly this new rubber bristle rake is much better overall and much more convenient to use. My wife and I have four cats, although I mainly clean carpets, and I would highly recommend this broom. And no, I am not affiliated with the seller. I'm just someone happy to find easier ways to clean up after our feline family members.
