Review on ๐Ÿงบ MyGift Modern Metal Freestanding Towel Rack with 3 Swivel Arms: Stylish and Functional Hand Towel Bar Stand by Leslie Sharp

Functional but a bit ugly

I have very little wall space in my bathroom and need a free standing towel rail that isn't bulky or takes up a lot of floor space. It fits the bill but I wish they had put a little more effort into making it less tasteless. The base is the most beautiful part of the entire device. It's tempered glass that looks pretty stylish. However, the bars look very modest. They have really poor quality plastic caps on the ends and I'm not sure if they will stay or fall out, they don't fit very securely. The vertical bar screws into the base from below, but there is no recess for the screw in the glass, leaving you with a flat base. The solution provided was 4 sticky backed rubber pads to re-level the base and it will be interesting to see if they hold up. I was hoping the tempered glass base would be heavy so the stand would feel stable and not drunk. I have a very old house and the floors are uneven but given that it seems pretty solid. I put it in a corner and it doesn't seem to wobble too much when I use towels if I'm careful, but because it's so compact two fluffy towels will compress a little between the horizontal bars. If you try to pull the towels off the hanger, they stick together a bit and the hanger wobbles. I'll probably just hang a bath towel on the back bar and a hand towel on the front bar. Although it looks pretty cheap, it does what it's supposed to and assembly was easy.
